The Atala PRISM team proudly announces the revamped version of their PRISM DID method specification. As of 9 March 2023, the W3C has accepted the Atala PRISM DID method did:prism. This milestone has been a long time coming, with a ton of hard work across the entire Atala Tribe at Input Output Global (IOG).

The repo with the specification of the did:prism method can be found here

The Atala Tribe wants to thank the community for their feedback, support, and passion for decentralized identity and for helping us bring this moment to fruition. The submission to the DID Specification registry offers interoperability and quality guarantees to all implementers that are working with did:prism throughout the Cardano ecosystem and beyond.

When PRISM?

Right now, we are preparing for a code audit, and finalizing an open-source core plan, before we release it publicly. If you are eager to get hands-on experimentation, you may do so through the PRISM Pioneer Program, launching on 5 April 2023.
